Design Engineer #26006

Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a mobility technology organization, is seeking a skilled Design Engineer. This role is responsible for designing and releasing chassis components, supporting full product lifecycle development, and ensuring performance, manufacturability, and durability targets are achieved.

Job Duties

• Design and develop chassis components, including suspension systems, subframes, steering components, and structural elements
• Create and release 3D models, 2D drawings, and engineering documentation using CAD tools
• Support product development from concept through production launch
• Collaborate with manufacturing, test, CAE, and supplier teams to validate design feasibility
• Lead design reviews, DFMEA activities, and root cause analysis for development issues
• Coordinate with suppliers on component design, validation, and quality improvements
• Ensure compliance with cost, weight, durability, and safety requirements

Skills & Experience

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in automotive chassis design
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as CATIA, NX, or SolidWorks
• Experience releasing production-level components
• Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes for automotive components

Desired

• Experience with electric vehicle platforms or performance vehicle programs
• Hands-on experience with prototype builds, testing, or troubleshooting
• Exposure to CAE tools and simulation-driven design methods
• Experience working directly with suppliers on component development and validation
