Digital Factory Engineer

Location: Georgetown, KY

Duration: 19 Months with possible extensions or C2H

Pay rate: $43.95/hour

Travel: Up to 5% Domestic (as needed)

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Digital Factory Engineer to support the development and advancement of digital manufacturing and production engineering processes. This role focuses on improving digital factory workflows, enabling simulation capabilities, and supporting scalable digital solutions that enhance manufacturing efficiency and operational readiness.

The ideal candidate will have experience in digital manufacturing, CAD systems, simulation technologies, and process optimization, along with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and sustainable digital factory solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance digital factory methods, workflows, and standards
  • Coordinate and optimize 2D and 3D layout designs and manufacturing workflows
  • Support development and improvement of simulation processes and digital workflows
  • Collaborate with internal teams and technology partners to integrate digital tools into manufacturing processes
  • Lead use case development for reality capture, visualization, and digital model integration
  • Create and maintain standardized processes, documentation, and data governance practices
  • Support implementation of digital transformation initiatives across production and engineering teams
  • Monitor and communicate key performance metrics and project updates to stakeholders
  • Process and manage data related to digital modeling and manufacturing systems
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in vehicle engineering, manufacturing systems, CAD technologies, or digital factory environments
  • Experience supporting manufacturing process improvements or digital transformation initiatives
  • Strong understanding of CAD systems, digital manufacturing tools, or simulation technologies
  • Proven ability to manage projects and support cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with process optimization or new process development
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations in automotive or industrial environments
  • Familiarity with cloud-based systems or digital data management
  • Experience supporting equipment planning, installation, or production readiness
  • Exposure to digital modeling, visualization, or simulation technologies
  • Background in new product or production program launches
