Custer is seeking motivated individuals for a seasonal role supporting our furniture installation team. In this hands‑on position, you’ll assist with the delivery, assembly, and installation of office furniture at customer locations. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced environment while learning industry‑specific skills. Under the direction of a Lead Installer, you will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and with a high level of professionalism that reflects Custer’s commitment to customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with loading and unloading furniture and materials in the warehouse and at customer sites
Unbox, stage, and set furniture in place according to project plans
Support disassembly, movement, and delivery of office furniture
Pack out and properly dispose of trash, pallets, and recyclables
Assist Lead Installer with preparing tools and equipment for daily projects
Maintain cleanliness of assigned trucks and work areas
Follow all company safety guidelines and wear required protective equipment
Maintain a professional appearance and represent Custer courteously at all times
Support overall team and company goals
Qualifications & Skills
Ability to follow direction and complete assigned tasks reliably
Strong teamwork mindset with a positive, customer‑focused attitude
Willingness to learn new skills in a hands‑on environment
Basic reading, math, and computer skills
Mechanical aptitude and interest in assembling products
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
Capable of bending, squatting, lifting, and working overhead; comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout the day
Punctual attendance when scheduled
Reliable transportation
