Schedule
Mon - Fri 6 AM - 2:30PM, $19/hr
Reports to
Production Supervisor
Essential Functions
Basic disassembly, washing, and assembly of parts.
Identify serviceable vs. non serviceable parts.
Operation of semi-automatic equipment i.e. pedestal buffers, hand buffers, wash machines, ultra-sonic washers.
Handle parts, tools in a safe manner.
Proper use of power and manual tools. i.e. impact wrenches, drills, EZ Outs, hand tools.
Understand and comply with all quality and safety rules, guidelines, policies and procedures.
Skills And Competencies
Technical Capacity
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.
Knowledge of generally accepted best practices and theory.
Good mechanical skills
Knowledge of shop use of measuring devices.
Ability to complete disassembly process without destroying parts.
Communication Proficiency
Organization Skills
Time Management
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
The employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e. noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Benefits
The anticipated wage scale for candidates who work in Springfield, MO is $19.00 per hour. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry and education. New York Air Brake is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations. Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, employees (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, vision, and basic life and disability insurance. Employees also will be able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation leave and 40 hours of Personal Paid Absence every year. Employees will also enjoy 10 paid holidays, and 2 personal holidays throughout the calendar year, subject to relevant terms outlined in the employee handbook. 6 weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use. Requirements for these benefits will be controlled by applicable plan documents and policies. Employees working on federal contracts covered by the Federal Paid Sick Leave requirements will be notified and will receive benefits consistent and compliant with the FPSL requirements.
