Job Summary
This jobis responsible forwelding aluminum shapes to vacuum tight standards.
Primary Responsibilities
Select, install and adjust tips, shield.
Install and replace gas tanks, fill/wire according to type of weldtype and assembly.
Secure parts and assemblies with clamps and custom fixturing.
Review finished part for conformance to design with use of measuring instruments such as calipers and rulers.
Use schematics, blueprints, verbal and written instructions toweld and rework parts..
Resolves and/or reportsweldingproblems accordinglyto establish company procedures.
May be required to fill out and submit Non Conformance Reports (NCR's).
Maintains clean and safe working environment.
Contributes to team effort and other tasks as needed.
Strict compliance with the quality, occupational safety and environmental regulations.
Implementation of the instructions of the quality / environmental management representative and the occupational safety specialist.
Required Experience, Education, Skills and Competencies
HS or equivalent
Previous experience with aluminum Tig welding
1+ years of workexperienceor experience in school or apprenticeship setting
Experiencewith welding to vacuum tight standards is a plus.
A strong work ethic and attention to detail are a must.
Attention to quality & workmanship
Ability to use small hand tools.
Skill with precision measuring equipment and a wide variety of hand tools.
Travel Requirements
None
Physical Requirements
Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Standing andsittingwhile performing duties and tasks.
Compensation
Compensation for this temporary position is expected from $31.00 to $41.00 per hour based on experience.
