Job Summary
This position is responsible for creating detailed 3D models and technical drawings for transformers, switchgear, and related electrical equipment using SolidWorks. The role supports the production and customer delivery process by developing accurate, customer-ready drawing packages and ensuring all documentation reflects final equipment configurations and project requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Create 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks for transformers, switchgear, and related electrical systems
Prepare complete, customer-ready drawing packages for equipment processed through the facility
Document high-voltage and low-voltage equipment configurations, dimensions, and components with precision
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure drawings align with project scope, field conditions, and customer specifications
Update and revise drawings to reflect engineering changes, repair scopes, and final build configurations
Maintain accurate drawing files, revision control, and organized project documentation across all assignments
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum of 2 years drafting experience using SolidWorks or AutoCAD 3D
Strong communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external customers
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred: OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, and AED certification
Must be able to pass a background check, Wonderlic assessment, and drug screening
