Design Assistant

We’re hiring: Design Assistant @ NIA

NIA is looking for a Design Assistant to support our growing team. This role is ideal for someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and excited to be hands-on in the design and development process of a fast-moving fashion brand.

Responsibilities:

• Support the design team across all stages of development, from concept to production
• Assist with sketching, tech packs, and updating design files
• Organize and maintain fabric, trim, and sample libraries
• Track samples, shipments, and development timelines
• Prepare materials for fittings, meetings, and photoshoots
• Conduct market research and trend analysis
• Help ensure product aligns with brand aesthetic and quality standards

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of experience in fashion design or internships in a similar role
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator (Photoshop a plus)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for contemporary fashion and strong understanding of trends
• Based in Los Angeles (in-office role)

Bonus:

• Experience with tech packs and garment construction
• Familiarity with ERP systems
