Responsibilities
This full‑time position requires a professional home office and a primary workweek of 40 hours, with core hours between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. The role focuses on payroll administration, financial reconciliation, and student billing support.
Process bi‑weekly payroll accurately and on schedule.
Audit payroll data (earnings, deductions, taxes) for accuracy and compliance.
Maintain employee payroll records in HRIS/payroll software.
Coordinate with HR on hires, terminations, and status changes affecting pay.
Ensure compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws.
Maintain data integrity across payroll, HRIS, and billing systems.
Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
Complete and maintain required employer registrations (e.g., tax, withholding, unemployment accounts) in applicable jurisdictions.
Perform regular audits and reconciliations of payroll and benefits data.
Billing
Prepare, validate, and process billing with our external vendor.
Prepare and deliver reporting according to specific deadlines, including regular/monthly invoicing and year‑end reconciliation.
Investigate, reconcile, and resolve discrepancies between internal data and external invoices and payments.
Maintain documentation supporting billing calculations and adjustments.
Coordinate with school staff to ensure accurate billing and reporting of data.
Communicate with outside entities and resolve billing inquiries.
Other Tasks
Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Compensation
Pay range: $62,000 – $72,000
Benefits
Hybrid position: at least 85 % remote; typical one office day per week.

Minimum Required Qualifications
High school diploma.
Payroll processing experience.
1–3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required clearances for Pennsylvania school‑based personnel.
Minimum Required Skill Set
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Adaptable technology skills.
Internet research skills.
Experience with student information systems or similar databases.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree.
Experience with Paylocity payroll platform.
