Responsibilities

Manage payroll for seasonal employees in Continuing Education, including automatic meal deductions and submitting Georgia Defined Contribution Plan terminations.

Monitor daily payroll exceptions and notify managers and employees of discrepancies.

Run and review payroll reports and supervisory reports to ensure accuracy; provide monthly overtime reports to leadership.

Process Food & Beverage daily tips and ensure accurate reporting.

Submit tuition waivers and create application links for graduate assistant postings.

Handle payroll paid from suspense accounts and manage payroll deadlines.

Submit and manage all human resources transactions in OneUSG Connect, including ad‑hoc salary changes, position funding requests, time and absence approver updates, and employee terminations.

Maintain and track activities for leadership reporting and manage reclassification of all Georgia Center Student Staff twice a year.

Act as P‑Card cardholder for Finance & HR purchasing needs, review and approve payment requests for all Georgia Center invoices, and serve as UGAmart initiator for all carts, invoices, and receipts.

Distribute monthly reports, including the Open Purchase Order Report and telephone bills.

Respond to inquiries sent to departmental HR email, provide timely support, and serve as a point of contact for employees regarding payroll, benefits, and HR processes.

Attend monthly divisional meetings and OneSource status calls; participate in annual UGA trainings and Assessments.

Perform other duties as assigned to support the Assistant Director of Finance & Human Resources and the Georgia Center.

Required Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong Excel, critical thinking, problem‑solving, teamwork, and time‑management skills.

Excellent work standards with accuracy and timeliness.

Strong customer service, interpersonal communication, confidentiality, and security handling of sensitive information.

Ability to learn new software, basic accounting skills and principles, basic understanding of UGA policies and procedures.

Ability to pass a background check to serve as a P‑Card cardholder.

Other Requirements

P‑Card possession required; must pass credit check and background investigation.

Credit and P‑Card policy applies.

Must have security access to personnel records and IT security.

Working Conditions
Physical demands include sitting for long hours and working at a computer. No driving responsibilities.
