We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive
LTL Operations Specialist
to join our logistics team. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for carriers and provide essential support in managing the daily movement of Less Than Truckload (LTL) freight. You’ll help ensure timely pick-ups, deliveries, and high-quality service while strengthening carrier relationships and maintaining operational accuracy.
Requirements
Enter and maintain customer profiles and shipment details in McLeod TMS
Schedule and coordinate LTL pick-ups and deliveries with carriers and customers
Track in-transit shipments and provide real-time updates
Solicit and evaluate freight quotations for both spot and contract rates
Manage carrier data, negotiate rates, and maintain capacity relationships
Dispatch drivers in accordance with established procedures and customer expectations
Monitor shipment status and update systems to ensure accurate records from origin to delivery
Collaborate daily with the operations team to align on service execution
Follow standard operating procedures and contribute to continuous process improvements
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics operations, with emphasis on LTL freight
Experience using McLeod software is strongly preferred
Experience using DAT to source and book carriers
Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general TMS usage
Bonus: Familiarity with port or drayage operations is a plus
