
Materials Planner

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, or related field.
3-5+ years of experience in materials planning.
ERP/MRP experience (SAP preferred).
Strong analytical, communication, and Excel skills.
Summary
The Materials Planner is responsible for executing material planning activities that support the production schedule, ensuring raw materials and ingredients are available to meet customer demand and manufacturing requirements. This role leverages system data and reporting to manage inventory, coordinate delivery schedules, and proactively address supply risks. Operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, this position requires strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to adapt quickly to changing production and customer needs.
Core Focus Areas
Production Alignment & Material Flow
Translate production schedules into actionable material requirements
Ensure timely availability of ingredients and packaging materials
Adjust plans in response to schedule shifts, demand changes, and supply disruptions
Balance inventory levels against production needs and storage constraints
Planning Systems & Data Management
Use ERP/MRP tools to drive material planning decisions (SAP environment preferred)
Monitor system outputs to identify supply risks and gaps
Maintain planning visibility tools used to track short-term and mid-range material readiness
Ensure data integrity across planning and inventory systems
Supply Coordination & Communication
Coordinate daily with suppliers, production teams, and internal stakeholders
Communicate potential shortages, delays, or risks in advance
Partner cross-functionally to resolve material constraints impacting production
Participate in operational planning discussions and execution reviews
Issue Resolution & Operational Support
Respond quickly to material disruptions affecting production schedules
Support the resolution of supply gaps in real time to minimize downtime
Adapt priorities based on changing production and supply conditions
Participate in an on-call rotation for urgent supply issues

Consistent availability of materials aligned to production demand
Minimal production interruptions tied to supply issues
Accurate and timely execution of planning system outputs
Strong supplier and internal coordination with proactive communication
Controlled inventory levels without overstock or obsolescence
