Permanent Position: Physician Assistant - Cardiothoracic SurgeryLocation: Colorado Springs, Colorado Position OverviewSeeking a skilled, full-time PA with a minimum of 3 years' experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery and ICU patient management to join a cutting-edge surgical team focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.This is a permanent position - not open to locums or locums-to-perm.Clinical Responsibilities
- Assist in complex cardiac surgeries, including endoscopic vein harvesting using the Maquet-Getinge system
- First assist in operating room procedures
- Provide perioperative care and manage CVICU and floor patients
- Participate in 2 full-day clinics/week; additional clinic duties as needed
- Rotate through OR coverage Monday-Friday
- Collaborate in a collegial, multidisciplinary environment with surgeons, intensivists, and other care providers
- Perform bedside procedures and diagnostic evaluations
- Develop and implement patient care plans and manage follow-ups
- Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Operate independently under physician supervision
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery and ICU patient management - Required
- Licensure: Active Colorado PA license (or eligibility to obtain) - Required
- Certification: Must meet CME requirements and maintain clinical competency
- Visa Support: Not available
- Note: System-wide name clearing required before proceeding
