
Nurse Manager - Trauma Program

Position Purpose
Saint Mary’s Hospital is seeking a Trauma Program Nurse Manager to provide leadership for our Level 2 Trauma Center. This role partners with the Trauma Medical Director to ensure compliance with ACS Trauma standards, oversee trauma operations, and drive performance improvement, patient safety, and excellent outcomes across the trauma care continuum.

What You’ll Do
Lead daily operations of the Trauma Program ensuring ACS compliance
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize trauma care and outcomes
Oversee Trauma Registry accuracy, reporting, and benchmarking (TQIP/NTDS)
Coordinate Performance Improvement & Patient Safety activities
Conduct clinical rounds and support Level I trauma activations while on duty
Lead trauma education, training, and verification preparedness
Support trauma policy development and injury prevention initiatives
Qualifications Required
BSN from an accredited nursing program
Active Connecticut RN license
Knowledge of trauma care delivery and quality improvement
Preferred
3+ years of Trauma, ICU, or Emergency Department nursing experience
Leadership experience in trauma or acute care settings
Charge Nurse or Assistant Nurse Manager experience
BLS/CPR certification
TNCC, TCRN, CSTR, or other trauma certifications
