Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

Coverage Needed :

• Start Date: May 1, 2026
• Schedule: 7am-7am; potential for clinic + call coverage
  • Clinic Hours: 8:30am-3pm with an hour lunch from 12pm-1pm
• Weekend and On Call Requirements
• Open Dates:
  • May 1-3, 6, 11, 14, 20
    • May's in office clinic days: May 7th, 12th, 21st, and 26th
  • June 1, 4, 15, 18, 22, 26-28
  • July 2, 4-5, 20, 24-26, 30

Clinical Details :

• Practice Setting: OBGYN Hospital/Call + potential for clinic coverage
• If taking clinic, night call would not be required after clinic days
• Call Ratio: 1 to 4
• Total Number of Beds: 9 in L&D and 20 postpartum
• Number of Physicians in Practice: 4
• Support Staff: OBHG hospitalist, surgical assistants, 3 to 4 nurses each shift
• Average Number of Nursery Admissions per Day: 2 to 3
• Average Call Back per 24hr Shift: Less than 1, receive calls from answering service
• Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
• Required Procedures: C-section, vaginal deliveries, suction D&C, ectopic pregnancies, ovarian torsion, abnormal bleeding
• High-Risk Patients: Managed by MFM
• Unreferred Patients: Managed by Laborist for deliveries and rounding

Requirements :

• Board Certified
• Active VA License, DEA and CSR
• ABOG, BLS
• Ability to cover clinic + call coverage
• Must be able to cover dates listed in job
• Self-query NPBD report required
• Clean background required for temporary privileges
• Local candidates preferred
