Field Support Specialist (On Call)

Reports To:

The Field Support Specialist (On Call) will report to the Client Services Supervisor, Client Services Manager, Human Resources, or equivalent leadership.

Job Overview
The Field Support Specialist (On Call) is assigned to provide backfill coverage within their assigned region, filling in for staff on scheduled and unscheduled time off. This position requires flexibility, as it may involve multiple locations and same-day assignments. The role ensures continuous customer support in compliance with service level agreements, delivering high-quality office services across shipping & receiving, print & binding, facilities, hospitality, concierge, reception, data entry, document scanning, inventory, and other tailored processes.

Duties and Responsibilities
Mail Services

Provide world-class service to all clients (communications).

Process inbound and outbound mail/packages, sorting by recipient/dept using manual or electronic chain-of-custody procedures.

Perform duties related to shipping and receiving: packaging and sealing shipments.

Reprographics Services

Assist with copy/print production or monitor equipment for satisfactory functionality.

Provide binding services such as GBC, Velo, Coil, and Wire-Internal.

Operate MF devices: ensure functionality, replenish toner/paper.

Scan, image documents and perform light copy/print reproduction services.

Office Services

Maintain the Office Services Center area neatly and orderly.

Service and replenish pantry, conference, kitchen, and meeting areas.

Perform general and preventative office maintenance and repair.

Oversee office equipment maintenance and safety tests.

Organize, clean, and stock breakroom.

Set up meeting and conference rooms.

Monitor office supplies levels and replenish.

Inventory and order supplies.

Front of House

Provide reception or concierge coverage as needed.

Welcome guests, collect and catalog guest information, orient new clients.

Represent SPS Global and clients positively in person, phone, and email.

Ensure quality lobby concierge experience; demonstrate courteous, professional demeanor.

Coordinate guest entry with client host and Building Security; manage access levels.

Answer global calls and route properly.

Log visitors into registration system.

Provide light administrative support to staff as directed.

Competencies

Intermediate to expert MS Office Suite proficiency.

Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Knowledge of MFD equipment.

Understanding of shipping/receiving procedures.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.

6+ months prior work experience preferred.

Ability to work assigned hours as determined by manager.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Analytical and problem-solving aptitude.

Superb written and verbal communication.

Current or learn computer-based systems.

Maintain overall professional appearance and attitude.

Adhere to all policies and procedures.

Physical Demands
Approximately 50% of the time the role requires:

Fine or gross motor skills: grasp, lift or carry 25 lbs individually and 50 lbs with assistance.

Walk, bend, kneel, stand or sit for extended periods.

Manual dexterity for office machinery, ladders, binding machinery.

Visual acuity: close and distance vision, focus adjustment, color discrimination.

Travel

Field Services Specialist requires reliable transportation.

Travel may involve moving between SPS sites within assigned region.

Compensation
Pay Range: $21 - $22 USD. Compensation depends on skills, experience, and job-related factors.
