Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist Baytown, TX

Required Skills:

• Valid medical license to practice in Texas
• Board-certified or eligible in OB/GYN or Family Medicine with obstetric hospitalist experience
• Proven ability to manage labor and delivery, postpartum care, and urgent obstetric issues
• Strong clinical skills with excellent diagnostic and decision-making abilities
• Effective communication and teamwork skills in high-pressure situations
• Ability to adapt quickly to hospital protocols and electronic medical records systems

Nice to Have Skills:

• Extra certifications such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Experience working in a hospitalist or emergency setting
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• At least 2 years of recent hospital-based OB/GYN or obstetric hospitalist experience
• Current DEA registration and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed
• Travel reimbursements and licensure/certification reimbursements when applicable
• Active medical license in Texas and the ability to obtain hospital privileges
