Job Summary

Varied detail hours M-F, 8 hr days. Times are flexible as long as consistent and communicated with the Day Office Representative. Start time before 6 AM and no later than 10 AM. Shift length: 35 GWW.

Job Description

Contract: 13 weeks.

Hourly pay $33.00.

Non‑taxed stipend $1,246.00.

Weekly total pay $2,236.

Weekend requirements: No weekends unless a holiday falls within M-F; then hours can be made up on the weekend.

Key Responsibilities

Effectively screens, evaluates, and rehabilitates patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders and develops appropriate plan of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards.

Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence‑based practice to support clinical interventions.

Assesses patient progress and adjusts treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory requirements.

Evaluates treatment outcomes for effectiveness. Services are modified in relation to patient evaluation and referrals made accordingly.

Provides consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to speech disorders.

Effectively communicates with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.

Provides comprehensive discharge summary of services provided per regulatory requirements.

Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system and maintains patient records according to company policy.

Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided per all regulatory requirements.

Participates in required meetings: patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, rehabilitation meetings, etc.

Participates in facility and company required training, in‑services, and conferences.

Obtains any necessary DME or supplies per regulatory requirements.

Supervises and supports CFY or Student Speech‑Language Pathologists.

Adheres to ASHA and state‑required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice as a Speech‑Language Pathologist.

Compensation

Weekly pay (hourly) plus non‑taxed stipend.

Pay package details provided upon offer.

Requirements

1 year of SLP experience required.

New graduates acceptable as long as Level II experience and not just Level I observation experience.

LTC or rehab experience required.

MO State license required.

CCC certified SLP required.

3 years experience holding active CCS preferred.

Will accept one reference at time of submission.

Must be submitted at the posted rate; if requested rate is higher, candidate will be redirected.

Missouri state license requirements required.

Active ASHA and state licensure required.

Excellent problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.

Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.

Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability.
