About the role: As an Access Authorization Specialist, you will contribute to the development and application of Access Authorization procedures. You will also work in processing psychological evaluations for individuals looking for unescorted access (UA) to U.S nuclear power plants. Ensure compliance with the requirements of project procedures, applicable parts of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Department of Energy (DOE). You will maintain the security of all Security Organization operations and information. You will report to the Supervisor, Access Authorization and be located out of our Madison, PA location. Hybrid Work Schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow the established Access Authorization security procedures in addition to any state or federal guidelines.
Communicate with employees and non-employees, foreign and domestic.
Gather personal and confidential information about background investigations, psychological evaluation, drug/alcohol test results, and training records.
Review psychological evaluation paperwork, individual supplied information, and other file information to identify inaccuracies and derogatory information.
Inform team members of anomalies and help with the resolution and clarification of the discrepancies or anomalies.
Coordinate the scheduling of psychological evaluations with individuals, project managers, site staff and psychological offices.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Some college work or additional professional training preferred
1+ years' experience in nuclear background screening or related field
Valid state driver's license
Ability to pass pre-employment and regulatory required background investigations to include criminal, traffic, fingerprint records check, work references, and education history
