Senior Supply Chain Merchandising Analyst

The Senior Supply Chain Merchandising Analyst is responsible for optimizing inventory levels to support sales goals, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory. This role will analyze sales and replenishment data, market trends, and historical performance to develop accurate forecasts and replenishment strategies. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of retail merchandising, supply chain logistics, and data analysis.
Job Duties/Responsibilities

Inventory Planning and Forecasting:
Develop and maintain accurate sales and inventory forecasts at the SKU and category level.
Analyze historical sales and replenishment data, promotional plans, and market trends to inform forecasting models.
Collaborate with the Merchandising and Planning teams to create seasonal and long-term inventory plans.
Develop and distinguish different inventory and forecasting plans to support ecom sales and club level replenishment.
Replenishment and Allocation:
Manage and execute the replenishment process for assigned product categories to ensure optimal stock levels across all locations (clubs, and e-commerce).
Monitor inventory levels, identify potential stockouts or overstocks, and recommend corrective actions.
Develop and implement allocation strategies to effectively distribute new receipts and manage seasonal transitions.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Generate and analyze weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports on key inventory metrics, including sales, sell-through, turns, and weeks of supply.
Identify and investigate discrepancies in inventory data and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve inventory performance and profitability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Merch vendors, supply chain 3pls, ecom teams and Clubs, to align on product launches, promotions, and end-of-life strategies.
Collaborate with Supply Chain and Logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient flow of goods.
Partner with Club Operations to understand in-store inventory challenges and opportunities.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline and improve inventory management processes and tools.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and new technologies in inventory management.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and translate findings into actionable insights.
Proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas) is required.
Experience with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA, Blue Yonder, or similar) is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of retail metrics (e.g., Gross Margin, Turn, Sell-Through, Weeks of Supply).
May require occasional travel to clubs, warehouses, and trade-shows.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Merchandising, or a related field.
Years of Experience:
3 years of experience in a retail inventory, planning, or analyst role.
Pay

This is a salaried position starting at $78,000.00(or applicable minimum salary, if higher) and pays up to $107,000.00, based on experience and qualifications.
