Neonatology Physician

ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a locum Physician-Neonatology to provide in-house Neonatology coverage to support high-acuity neonatal services. This role involves 24-hour in-house coverage with flexible weekday and weekend shift options in a community hospital setting. Providers must have recent Level IV NICU experience and be comfortable managing an average daily census of 14 infants.

Dates / Schedule

In-House Coverage Shifts

Weekday Options (Monday Friday):

• Day shift: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM

• Night shift: 3:00 PM 9:00 AM

• 24-hour shift: Combination of day and night shifts

Weekend Options:

• Friday 3:00 PM Saturday 9:00 AM

• Saturday 9:00 AM Sunday 9:00 AM

• Sunday 9:00 AM Monday 9:00 AM

Job Details & Responsibilities

• Provide in-house neonatology coverage in a Level IV NICU

• Average daily census of 14 neonatal patients

• Coverage model consists of 24-hour in-house call with neonatologist-only coverage

• Community hospital setting with no APPs, PAs, or fellows

• Neonatologists are the only providers permitted to intubate

• No ECMO services required

• Possible moderate sedation responsibilities (exam required if applicable)

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board Certified in Neonatology

• Active California medical license (IMLC not accepted)

• Level IV NICU experience required

• Recent neonatal caseload within the past 12 months

• Completion of required Prescreen Questionnaire

• CV in MM/YYYY format with all gaps explained
  

• NPDB self-query (pulled within the last month)

• Clean background and credentialing readiness
