REQUIRED PROCEDURES
Emergency department procedures appropriate for physician-level emergency medicine coverage
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Active state medical license, CDS, and DEA with Iowa address required
Board: Board Certified in ABEM, ABFM, or ABIM (or osteopathic equivalents)
DEA: Active DEA required
Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required
Experience: Residency trained in the specialty certified in
Other Qualifications: CME documentation and case logs from the past two years required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide comprehensive emergency medical care for patients of all ages
Manage acute and emergent conditions in a Level II trauma center
Perform emergency procedures and coordinate admissions as required
Collaborate with hospitalist medicine and consulting services
Document all patient encounters accurately in Cerner EMR
