We’re searching for a Controller to lead the mine site’s accounting and financial reporting functions. This role will be responsible for financial accuracy, operational visibility, and driving continuous improvement across all site financial activities, reporting directly to the Director of Finance, Procurement & IT.
What You’ll Do
Lead all accounting and financial reporting functions for the mine site.
Oversee cost accounting, general ledger integrity, and budgetary controls.
Manage FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
Ensure accuracy in inventory, cycle counts, and capital project tracking.
Support timely month-, quarter-, and year-end closes and ensure compliance with corporate standards.
Partner with site managers and corporate leadership to deliver actionable insights.
Assist with internal and external audits and implement corrective measures.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives across financial operations.
Contribute to ERP system implementation and integration projects.
What You Bring
CPA designation preferred.
Minimum 5+ years of financial leadership experience, ideally in a public company setting.
Strong background in Excel and QuickBooks.
Proven experience in FP&A, cost accounting, and capital project management.
Familiarity with construction project management, agile/lean practices, and ERP system selection/implementation.
Understanding of internal controls, SOX compliance, and tax/transfer pricing.
Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and financial reporting best practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across operational and executive teams.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
