Medical Payment Poster
Location: Richmond, VA (100% Onsite) Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Pay Rate: $18$20/hour Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM4:30 PM or 8:30 AM5:00 PM
Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Payment Poster to join a busy healthcare organization in Richmond, VA. This is a contract-to-hire, onsite opportunity ideal for someone with prior healthcare payment posting or cash applications experience who is looking for long-term stability.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately post insurance and patient payments to accounts
Review and interpret EOBs and remittance advice
Balance daily deposits and resolve posting discrepancies
Research and resolve unapplied payments and credit balances
Process refunds as needed and ensure accurate account reconciliation
Work within EMR and payer portals to ensure timely and accurate posting
Collaborate with billing and revenue cycle teams to support overall A/R operations
Qualifications:
Previous medical payment posting or cash applications experience required
Ability to read and understand EOBs
Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
Experience with healthcare billing systems or EMRs preferred
Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working onsite
