The Forklift Operator is responsible for accurately loading/unloading finished goods according to company policies as well as ensuring safe and efficient operation of machinery at all times. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring Receiving and Shipping procedures are implemented and continuously adhered to, per written procedures.
Responsible for the rotation of finished goods in inventory to ensure inventory is used on a FIFO basis.
Communicate with Warehouse Manager as to the condition and quality of incoming materials and potential issues relating to performance of production and plant warehouse receiving.
Assist with inventory of finished goods and reconciling discrepancies in a timely manner.
Assist with the preparation of year-end inventory.
Availability to perform job duties in any AbiMar location.
Responsible for maintaining a clean, organized and safe work area at all times.
Responsible for operating forklift and other machinery in a safe & professional manner.
Responsible for accurate completion of receiving and shipping paperwork.
Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all contacts
Accept and adapt easily to change
Ensure that all activities are consistent with Company Mission Statement

Experience:
High School degree or GED and/or a combination of education and relevant experience
1-3 years related experience in freight, logistics and inventory.
