Position Title: Pediatric Physician - Permanent (Perm) Location: Bellefontaine, OH Job Summary: Join a dynamic and community-focused healthcare team as a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatrician at a reputable, independent hospital dedicated to providing high-quality pediatric care. This hospital-employed position offers a balanced workload, collaborative environment, and numerous opportunities for professional growth and community engagement. Key Responsibilities: Provide outpatient pediatric care through comprehensive clinic management. Conduct newborn rounding and attend C-sections within a busy, expanding practice setting. Participate in hospital coverage, including newborn nursery care at a Level 1 nursery, managing approximately 400 births annually. Respond to hospital and practice calls on a rotating schedule (1:4), ensuring a maximum response time of 20 minutes and maintaining proximity to the hospital during on-call periods. Handle newborn transports to regional specialty hospitals (Nationwide Childrens Hospital or Dayton Childrens Hospital) when necessary. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprised of four physicians, full-time and part-time nurse practitioners (NPs), behavioral health clinicians, and lactation consultants. Maintain excellent patient outcomes with a focus on family-centered pediatric care, emphasizing preventive health and development monitoring. Engage in community activities and initiatives to promote health and wellness in the surrounding area. Qualifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics. Candidates working towards or maintaining Board Certification are encouraged to apply. New graduates are welcome; must demonstrate suitable progress towards certification. No visa sponsorship candidates accepted. Candidates with lapsed certification must be re-certified prior to employment. Work Schedule & Compensation: Four-day work week to support work-life balance.
