Required Qualifications
Valid Physical Therapy license in the State of Colorado
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate degree in physical therapy
Experience in physical therapy (new graduates are welcome)
Additional certifications or licenses as required for the position
Summary of Responsibilities
The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life.
Essential Work Functions
Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history.
Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals.
Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques.
Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely.
Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and self‑management techniques.
Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control protocols.
Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities.
Collaborate in discharge planning for smooth patient transitions.
Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking and strong interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and use basic PC skills.
Physical abilities – remaining stationary, moving equipment (50–100 lb), pushing, pulling, bending.
Interpersonal skills – work effectively with a variety of personnel.
Technical/motor skills – fine manipulation, pushing/pulling, and assistance with procedures.
Mental requirements – cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision or independently, handle irregular activity schedules, maintain concentration on details.
Sensory – visual acuity and effective communication.
