Summary of Role
Siemens Digital Industries Software is looking for a Global Program Leader – PLM Products to report directly to the new Global Strategic Programs & Operations Leader. We are in a time of transition and change as our product offerings continue moving to a Cloud delivery model and this role will be key to support this expansion.
This role will collaborate closely with our PLM Products executive leadership team and will have an immediate impact on expansion of our cloud strategic initiatives, driving innovation while overseeing program management across our product segments. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a business leadership/management role, with a special focus on program / project execution in a cloud environment, and interdepartmental collaboration.
This role involves collaborating with product teams and other relevant PLM program leaders to ensure seamless product integration. It is crucial for Siemens' digital transformation journey and requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and global business acumen.
Key Responsibilities
PLM Products Programs (Includes alignment across SIM, Life Sciences, and other relevant product groups)
Build a team of cross‑segment program members in the specific PLM Program area (i.e., Cloud, Data & AI, Digital Threads, or Industrial Metaverse).
Create and implement a PLM Portfolio Roadmap and Priorities, including operating a system for tracking a plan of record for cross‑segment programs.
Work with business segments to ensure the cross‑segment programs are staffed, centrally within the program team and/or also support within the segments and delivering according to plan.
Ensure cross‑segment dependencies are identified and managed.
Work with the finance team to develop an approach for tracking investment levels for the cross‑segment programs.
Program Strategy & Technical Leadership (Includes alignment across SIM, Life Sciences, and other relevant product groups)
Develop and execute cloud adoption strategies
Create roadmaps for cloud migration programs
Align cloud initiatives with business objectives
Define KPIs and success metrics
Ensure cloud architecture standards
Oversee cloud security compliance
Monitor cloud performance and optimization
Guide technical teams on best practices
Program Management, Stakeholder Management, & Change Management (Includes alignment across SIM, Life Sciences, and other relevant product groups)
Lead multiple cloud transformation projects simultaneously
Coordinate between different stakeholders and teams
Manage program budgets and resources
Track and report program progress
Risk management and mitigation
Engage with cloud service providers
Maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Regular communication with executive leadership
Lead organizational change initiatives
Develop training programs and manage cultural transformation
Enable cloud adoption across teams
Qualifications
10+ years PLM experience, including experience leading global teams
Previous experience building, organizing, operationalizing cloud operations in industrial software domain, inclusive of budget preparation and execution
Technical background and working knowledge of cloud service offerings (Azure, AWS, etc.)
Experience with web services, system administration (Linux, Windows), networking, including routing, load balancers, DNS, firewalls, etc.
IT Service Management, data center, server, and storage management, virtualization, networking, systems management, and/or project management experience
Broad understanding of the full PLM portfolio
Ability to demonstrate foundational workflows across the PLM Portfolio – BOM, Systems Engineering, 3D Collaboration
Skills
Successful communication skills ranging from front‑line operations to executive reporting
Experience delivering operational excellence on a global scale
Demonstrated success in effectively driving change in large organizations, including harmonization of processes across global teams
Interest to learn, adapt and grow in new environments, for example, new cloud technologies
Proven leadership in building cohesive global teams that are geographically and culturally diverse
Execute successfully in high‑pressure business critical situations
Excellent presentation and communication skills to drive and influence business value differentiation externally in vertical markets and with key external market influencers.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, IT, cloud or related discipline or equivalent experience
