
Business Development Manager

Overview
As a
Business Development Manager , you will be responsible for securing contracts within multi-family communities and multi-tenant properties to enable the organization to expand the reach and revenue penetration of wired and wireless home/business services. Contracts include Premise Access Licenses (agreements to allow access to evaluate and place equipment) and Marketing Agreements (agreements to co-market services). These contracts provide preferential or exclusive positioning in marketing wired and wireless home, business, and mobility services to residential and SMB end users.
Responsibilities
The prospect customer base includes owners, developers, and builders of multi-family and multi-tenant (MDU, MTU, and master-planned) housing and rental communities, ranging from small properties to large-scale portfolios. These stakeholders provide access to residential customers with a high propensity to adopt premium home and mobility services. Contract value is measured through access growth, property penetration, revenue per customer, and service retention.
Work in coordination with internal Account Management and Network teams to secure License Agreements granting access to evaluate, design, and deploy network infrastructure across targeted properties.
Initiate direct customer engagement with high-value property owners, builders, and developers to present, propose, and secure placement and/or marketing rights for a suite of wired and wireless services in a competitive landscape.
Develop new business through outbound efforts including calls, emails, and other communication channels to introduce solutions and identify key decision-makers.
Support both local market and regional business development initiatives.
Conduct needs analysis to understand customer challenges and align solutions accordingly.
Identify key stakeholders and influencers to determine budget, decision timelines, and buying processes.
Build and nurture long-term relationships through consistent engagement and follow-ups.
Maintain accurate records of prospects and client interactions within the sales database.
Monitor and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring consistent progress toward targets through reporting and analysis.
Establish strong customer relationships to position the organization as a preferred provider of wired and wireless solutions.
Negotiate long-term agreements, including exclusive or bulk service arrangements, to drive new business and revenue growth.
Stay informed on the competitive landscape and effectively communicate technical advantages in a consultative manner.
Collaborate with Network Engineering teams to support infrastructure planning and identify opportunities in new construction projects.
This is a field-based role with a defined sales territory, involving both on-site client visits and remote administrative work.
Ideal candidates are driven, relationship-focused professionals with a strong interest in the multifamily housing sector and a passion for closing high-value deals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
4+ years of B2B sales experience
Knowledge of fiber and wireless telecommunications
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Will ingness to travel up to 75% within the assigned territory
Proficiency in database/CRM tools
Experience with Google Workspace
Preferred
Experience managing a sales pipeline in a target-driven environment
Strong consultative selling, prospecting, and sales planning skills
Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
Familiarity with the multi-family housing market
