Must Haves:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or Engineering‑adjacent field
Strong communication skills - able to clearly coordinate across engineering, procurement, vendors, and construction teams
Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple materials, documents, and deadlines at once
Proactive problem solver, especially when resolving material delivery or scheduling issues
Day to Day:
The Material Control Specialist is responsible for coordinating material procurement and material control activities in support of engineering design and construction projects. This role supports the full project lifecycle by ensuring materials are properly planned, sourced, tracked, documented, and delivered in alignment with project schedules. The Material Control Specialist works closely with plant and pipeline engineering, materials management, project management, construction teams, and procurement partners to gather material cost and delivery information, prepare material and equipment requisitions, review vendor quotations, and monitor procurement progress. The role also involves managing material control documentation such as requisitions, purchase orders, material transfers, receiving reports, and vendor approval drawings, ensuring accuracy, timely approvals, and compliance with DOT documentation requirements. Success in this role requires strong organization, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to proactively resolve material delivery or scheduling issues in a fast‑paced, project‑driven oil and gas environment.
Compensation:
$22/hr to $26.50/hr.
