Job Overview
Seeking a seasoned System Engineer to support advanced modernization efforts within complex operational environments. This role is centered on assessing emerging technologies, supporting integration initiatives, and partnering with cross‑functional teams to enhance mission effectiveness. This position is fully on-site in Fort Belvoir, VA.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and assess new and emerging technologies for potential operational use
Identify integration challenges and analyze technical risks across systems
Support the planning and execution of technology demonstrations and experimental initiatives
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and leadership briefings
Collaborate with engineering teams, operational stakeholders, and acquisition personnel
Assist with transitioning validated technologies into scalable implementation pathways
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
10+ years of experience for senior‑level candidates or 15+ years for subject matter experts
Active Top Secret security clearance
Experience supporting defense systems or advanced technology development programs
Strong knowledge of systems design, integration processes, and risk analysis methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
DAWIA Engineering certification or equivalent credential
Experience with major acquisition programs (ACAT), urgent operational needs, or adaptive acquisition models
Background working in systems engineering or complex integration environments
