MASTER PRODUCTION SCHEDULER

TE Connectivity, Fuquay-Varina, NC, United States

Job Overview
The Plant Master Scheduler is responsible for translating approved demand and supply plans into a feasible, executable, and optimized production schedule for the plant. This role ensures that the right product is produced at the right time and in the right quantity, balancing customer service, inventory targets, capacity constraints, and cost. It plays a critical role as the link between SIOP/IBP planning and shop floor execution, ensuring operational alignment and production efficiency.

Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and publish the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on approved SIOP/IBP plans.

Convert customer orders and forecast demand into time-phased production plans at SKU and family level.

Ensure schedule feasibility considering capacity, material availability, labor, tooling, and operational constraints.

Sequence production orders to optimize throughput, changeovers, and asset utilization.

Validate available versus required capacity (machines, labor, shifts).

Identify bottlenecks and capacity overloads and propose mitigation actions (resequencing, overtime, subcontracting, inventory buffers).

Align production schedules with raw material, WIP, and critical component availability.

Collaborate closely with plant planning, procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams.

Drive adherence to inventory targets (FG and WIP) while maintaining high customer service levels.

Support phase‑in/phase‑out execution and mitigate obsolescence risks.

Monitor and report schedule adherence, plan vs. actual performance, and root causes of deviations.

Act as the single point of coordination for plant‑level scheduling decisions.

Continuously improve scheduling logic, planning parameters, and data quality (lead times, routings, yields).

Reduce expedites, firefighting, and short‑term rescheduling.

Support implementation and optimization of ERP / APS planning systems.
