
Document Control Specialist - Aerospace

The Document Control Specialist is a key member of the quality assurance team, responsible for the organization of our controlled documents, ensuring accuracy and version control compliance. This role is also responsible for reviewing work orders for accuracy and completion.

Reviews work orders for completion and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Maintains document database and version control recordkeeping
Assigns work instruction numbers and ensures proper documentation tracking
Creates forms and manages form numbering assignment and maintenance
Manages document obsolescence, ensuring outdated documents are properly archived
Scans and electronically archives work orders and related documentation when jobs are completed
Supports internal and external audits by providing required documentation
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure proper document control procedures are followed
Assists in improving document control processes to enhance efficiency and compliance
Performs other administrative/support tasks to support the quality assurance team and maintain the quality management system
Regular attendance on-site at the workplace is required
This Role Is Identified As Requiring ITAR (International Traffic In Arms Regulations) Compliance; Therefore, Qualified Candidates Must Meet The Definition Of a U.S. Person (per EAR Part 772 And ITAR 120.15):
An individual who is granted U.S. citizenship, or
An individual who is granted U.S. permanent residence (i.e., a "Green Card" holder), or
An individual who is granted status as a "protected person"
Required Education And Work Experience
A High school diploma or GED equivalent
Specialized training in office administration is preferred
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in document control, preferably in the aerospace manufacturing industry or other similarly regulated field (AS9100, ISO9000, etc.)
Comprehensive understanding of document control principles, including revision control and regulatory compliance
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in the use of document management software and the Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and to work collaboratively as needed in a fast-paced multi-shift manufacturing environment
Professional verbal and written communication (English)
Physical Demands and Work Environment
To Perform The Essential Functions Of The Role, Employees Must Be Able To Perform The Following Activities With Or Without Reasonable Accommodations:
Regularly stand and walk
Occasionally climb steps or stairs
Constantly communicate verbally and in writing (English) using a phone, texts, or other messaging, and email
Use hands and fingers to operate computer keyboards, mouse, or other peripherals
The normal work environment is a typical office setting; however, occasional visits to the warehouse/manufacturing environment will be required, where the employee may be exposed to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vapors, and hazards, including forklifts and other moving equipment. The use of PPE, including hearing protection, eye protection, and safety footwear may be required during these visits.
