Road Supervisor – Lawrence, Kansas
Road Supervisors ensure all routes are completed in compliance with safety procedures. Transdev is seeking customer service‑oriented professionals dedicated to safety.
Compensation (CBA Position)
$21.74 - $28.43 per hour (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale). Starting pay $21.74 with progression to $28.43 over 5 years.

Key Responsibilities
Communicate job requirements and responsibilities to drivers.
Day‑to‑day scheduling, counseling, and submitting evaluation reports to local management.
Conduct on‑scene accident investigations; assist drivers in preparing accident reports, OSHA reports, and safety‑violation documents.
Develop and host driver training and safety courses; train new drivers and retrain drivers involved in accidents.
Observe drivers on the road, correct safety problems on the scene while documenting violations.
Serve as liaison between drivers, customers, and the organization regarding customer‑service concerns.
Evaluate and monitor driver safety and performance in compliance with legal, employment, and labor‑policy matters.
Assist Safety Manager with DOT/FTA compliance – drug testing and recordkeeping.
Drive routes periodically.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid Commercial Driver’s License with passenger and airbrake endorsements.
Supervisory experience with hourly employees; 2–3 years transit‑supervisory experience preferred.
Computer literate – basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
Subject to a DOT drug test and physical evaluation if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements
Work outside in varying temperatures, weather, and humidity conditions – 100 % of the job is performed outside, alone, and in remote locations.
Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
