
Materials Supervisor

The Materials Supervisor partners with all manufacturing departments to ensure accurate inventory, optimized stock levels, and effective inventory control processes. In this role, you will manage cycle counts, oversee inbound receiving, process outbound shipping documentation, and resolve inventory, shipping/receiving, and work order transaction issues.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Manage Materials & inventory:
Oversee materials flow and inventory accuracy by managing cycle counts, receiving, shipping documentation, obsolete inventory disposition, and inventory control processes to support production, delivery, and inventory turn objectives.
Support Production & Continuous Improvement:
Coordinate business system transactions, work orders, engineering changes, and material flow enhancements to support production, new products, and continuous improvement initiatives while improving inventory performance and total material cost.
Lead and Develop the Materials Team:
Supervise, coach, and develop a high‑performing, detail‑oriented materials team that thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment and consistently delivers results.
What You’ll Need:
Education & Experience:
College degree or equivalent military/formal training, with at least 2 years of materials‑related experience; inventory control and production planning experience strongly preferred.
Technical Expertise:
Strong knowledge of MPS/MRP and business systems (implementation experience preferred), and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Leadership & Problem‑Solving Skills:
Proven ability to troubleshoot issues, manage priorities under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle conflict effectively while working across interruptions and staggered shifts.
Communication & Collaboration:
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Scheduling, and Shipping/Receiving teams.
Work Eligibility:
Ability to read, write, and speak English; authorized to work in the United States.
