Circuit Design Engineer Sr

You will be the Senior Circuit Design Engineer for the Non Kinetic Air Defense (NKAD) & Counter Swarm team. Our team designs, prototypes, tests, and rapidly fields advanced electronic solutions that protect U.S. and allied forces. We turn high risk concepts into flight ready hardware on accelerated schedules.

What You Will Be Doing

Defining subsystem requirements, conducting trade studies, and establishing architecture for platform and sensor electronics.

Driving schematic capture, EPCAD layout, and signal integrity analysis for circuit card assemblies in constrained environments.

Owning the full design lifecycle: concept, simulation, layout, build up, verification, and delivery of all Design Assurance Review artifacts.

Performing circuit simulations, power budgeting, and signal integrity checks using Cadence PSpice, HyperLynx, or equivalent tools.

Specifying, sourcing, and managing bill of materials and prototype build activities.

Coordinating environmental qualification testing (vibration, shock, thermal, radiation) and interpreting results to guide design refinements.

Generating and maintaining clear technical documentation—architecture diagrams, requirements packages, trade study reports, and test data logs.

Partnering with cross functional teams to integrate hardware smoothly into larger systems and accelerate fielding timelines.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university; Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum 3 years of professional experience in circuit design engineering or a related discipline.

Demonstrated experience with circuit card design, integration, and test for one or more of the following: digital electronics, power electronics, analog/mixed-signal.

Experience with Siemens Xpedition Enterprise or equivalent for schematic capture.

Experience with Cadence PSpice or equivalent for circuit simulation and analysis.

Experience with signal integrity tools such as Mentor Graphics Hyperlynx or equivalent.

Experience with developing and refining system, performance, interface, and environmental requirements for circuit card designs.

Must be a US Citizen; must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Desired Skills

Experience with RF systems including radars, jammers, electronic attack (EW), and high power microwave (HPM).

Experience with Pulsed Power, High voltage, and High Power applications.

Experience designing, developing, or integrating components for UAV/UAS systems.

Experience with rapid prototyping and spiral development design.

Electrical interconnect design experience (power, networking, discrete signaling, etc).

AC and DC power distribution, signal integrity, shielding and grounding.

CCA design & manufacturing experience (requirements, BOM, schematic capture, layout, test and integration, etc).

Working knowledge of lab equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, DMM, signal Generators, spectrum analyzers.

Experience with military standards and specifications.

Experience with design tools Zuken, Creo.

Experience with configuration management tool Windchill.

Experience with MFC circuit card design processes and the Design Assurance process.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences and work across multiple functions.

Proactive problem solver with a detail-oriented and growth mindset; aptitude for learning on the job.

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment to meet an aggressive schedule.

Self-starter who can fully engage with other personnel on the program and operate as a player/coach with little to no direct supervision.

Experience with environmental qualification testing (vibration, shock, thermal, radiation).

Demonstrated effective communication skills.

Security Clearance
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN and must be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. The position requires a secure facility access.

This position is in Dallas, Texas.

Work Schedule
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of the schedule remotely and part of the schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Schedule: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
