Overview
Respiratory Therapist – Registered Respiratory Therapist, based in Helena, MT, starting 05/24/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,036 to $2,196 with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Rotating shift (2x3) in an inpatient acute care setting, with responsibilities spanning NICU to ICU and occasional outpatient EKGs.
Responsibilities
Deliver respiratory therapies and support to patients across NICU to ICU as assigned, following physician orders
Manage ventilated patients, administer airway-therapy, bronchodilators, humidification, and secretion clearance
Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and adjust therapy per protocol and orders
Perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis; document results and patient response
Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment; ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
Document care in the electronic medical record (Epic) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams; participate in rounds and contribute to care plans
Provide outpatient EKGs as needed and respond to respiratory emergencies or code situations
Requirements
Active Montana license as Respiratory Therapist (RT)
Credentialed as CRT or RRT
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
2+ years of acute care hospital experience
Proficiency with Epic EMR
Ability to work across NICU to ICU and inpatient settings; flexible to nights and days
Prior travel experience preferred
