Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility)
Metropolitan Behavioral Health is a growing 144-bed behavioral health facility that provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and performs behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility also provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.
Position
Intake Clinician – Full‑time days, 12‑hour shifts. Three (3) 12‑hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
The Intake Clinician obtains initial clinical phone information and communicates it to the physician on call to make a final decision regarding admission. The clinician may also schedule a clinical evaluation if appropriate and contacts the physician who will decide the appropriate level of care: inpatient, day treatment or outpatient. The clinician facilitates this process by assisting the client, family and referral sources, and provides information regarding treatment programs, insurance and admission procedures.

Qualifications
MSW with Michigan LMSW (fully licensed) or Associate in Nursing or BSN with Michigan RN license
At least 1 to 3 years of experience providing mental health services, preferably in a psychiatric hospital
Work Hours
Full‑time day shift position that consists of three (3) 12‑hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.
