Overview
Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility) is a 144-bed behavioral health facility providing a full continuum of inpatient services across the patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults. The facility also offers programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues and a robust outpatient program utilizing group, family and individual therapy.
Responsibilities
Admissions RN, Full-Time Day Shift
The Admissions Nurse will work closely with Intake and unit staff to coordinate and facilitate the safe and efficient admission of patients accepted to the facility.
Perform level of care assessments on walk-in patients and nursing assessments on direct admit patients.
Use the EMR system and admission packet to complete intake documentation and consents, and conduct thorough assessments of new patients including detailed medical and psychiatric histories, current medications, allergies, and legal status.
Coordinate with intake, the psychiatrist, and unit nurse to ensure all appropriate precautions are ordered, proper documentation is in place, and all relevant information is passed on to the receiving nurse for a safe handoff of incoming patients.

Qualifications
Michigan RN license
Hospital experience required
Psychiatric hospital experience strongly preferred

ights/weekend rotation
