Locum OB Hospitalist - Laurinburg, NC

Start Date: June 1, 2026 IMLC Accepted No Weekend Call

Assignment Overview

• Location: Laurinburg, North Carolina
• Setting: Hospital & hospital-owned practice
• Schedule:
  • Monday-Wednesday: Clinic 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (lunch 12:00-1:00 PM)
    • Half-day clinic: 6-10 patients
    • Full-day clinic: 15-20 patients
  • Thursday: 24-hour onsite call coverage (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM next day)
  • Friday: No shift
• Call: 24-hour onsite, restricted, no weekends, no beeper or call-back
• Patient Volume: 15-20/day, primarily adult OB/GYN, some under 18
• Support Staff: Clinical/clerical team and L&D nurses
• EMR: Epic

Clinical Responsibilities

• Clinic and L&D coverage
• Procedures in office:
  • LEEP
  • Endometrial biopsies
  • Colposcopy
  • IUD insertions
• Ultrasound (2 rooms) with full-time sonographers
• Average 2-3 deliveries per 24-hour L&D shift
• Comfortable managing rural OB/GYN practice

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Board Certified: Obstetrics/Gynecology
• State License: North Carolina (IMLC accepted)
• DEA: Required
• BLS: Required

Experience

• Seasoned OB/GYN preferred (no new graduates)
• Clean background and NPI credentialing required
