Position Summary
This is a full‑time day position for a Registered Nurse in assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care. The RN will ensure quality care is delivered through assessment and monitoring of staff performance, patient care planning, and daily resident assessment. The RN also provides direct care to residents according to nursing standards of practice, standard procedures, and State and Federal regulations for skilled nursing facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide routine daily direction and monitor the work of LPNs and nursing assistants, ensuring high standards of nursing care.
Assist in orientation of new nursing personnel and reinforce training standards.
Motivate LPNs and CNAs assigned to the unit.
Explain nursing procedures and assist staff to maintain understanding and training.
Communicate regularly with the Director of Nursing regarding assessments, observations, and suggestions of problem areas, resident and employee activities, concerns, needs, and conditions.
Observe and evaluate residents’ health, mental and emotional conditions and communicate significant changes to appropriate staff; notify physician and family members as prescribed.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state.
At least one year of nursing experience.
Devotion to professional nursing standards and principles.
Skill in assessing problems, planning and evaluating solutions related to routine supervision of LPNs, nursing assistants, and resident needs.
Understanding, patience and tact in dealing with people.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
Genuine compassion for senior adults and the disabled.
Good human relation skills and ability to monitor and direct the activities of others.
Availability to work beyond normal hours, weekends, holidays, or on other shifts as needed.
Compensation Pay Range
$36.90 – $46.93 per hour.
Reasonable Pay Estimate
A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $36.90 – $46.93 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and internal and external equity considerations.
