Responsibilities
Exceptional patient care
Interpret physician orders, perform initial evaluations and establish treatment plans and functional goals
Update and amend treatment goals as necessary during the episode of care
Document patient status to physicians per compliance guidelines of IBJI rehab
Determine appropriate discharge timeline and follow‑up
Supervise Rehabilitation Technicians and patient care staff as needed
Ensure compliance with daily paperwork: initial evaluations, daily notes, progress notes, discharges, HEP
Stay current with billing policies and demonstrate ethical billing practices
Maintain active state license by earning required CEUs through outside courses and IBJI‑sponsored educational opportunities
Develop positive relationships with the physician teams at IBJI
Participate in programs sponsored by IBJI: mentoring, clinical educator, special interest group, community outreach
Requirements
Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Program
Licensed or eligible to sit for boards in the state of Illinois
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
Professional and effective writing and verbal communication skills
Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds and proper body mechanics for lifting, pulling, pushing
Ability to stand and sit for sequences of time greater than 30 minutes
Ability to work on a computer for lengthy periods during the day
Salary
82,000 - 110,000 annually based on experience
