Position Overview
Color Burst Landscapes is seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to maintain, repair, and service our fleet of small engines, heavy equipment, and vehicles. This role is essential to keeping our crews safe, efficient, and ready for every job.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engine and heavy equipment, including diesel-powered vehicles and construction machinery
Perform engine, transmission, brake, drivetrain, and hydraulic system repairs
Complete preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled servicing
Perform maintenance welding as needed
Respond to roadside service calls and coordinate towing when required
Read and interpret service manuals and technical specifications
Complete work orders, maintenance reports, and related documentation
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Follow all safety, environmental, and quality standards
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
3–5 years of equipment and vehicle repair experience
Welding experience preferred
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
Work Environment
Indoor and outdoor work settings
Physically active role with exposure to weather, noise, and mechanical equipment
Extended hours may be required during peak seasons
