Electrical Assembler III - 3rd Shift

Overview

Electrical Assembler Level 3 to join the production team. The role is based in Wendell, NC. The Electrification & Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. The role involves wiring and assembly for Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment such as switchgears, switchboards, and breakers.
Shift Hours: 11:30 AM – 7:00 AM
Hourly Rate: $24.79 + $1.50 Shift Differential
Please note: You will train on the 1st shift for a period before moving to the 3rd shift, at the manager’s discretion.
Responsibilities

Perform sub-assembly and final assembly wiring with high accuracy and workmanship, including proper stripping and crimping techniques.
Work with large power cables, ensuring correct crimping methods, and assemble components on panels per layouts or drawings.
Record job transactions, read BOMs, follow layouts and assembly drawings.
Set and using torque wrenches correctly, adhering to developed processes and seeking ways to improve.
Able to troubleshoot problems with the engineering team.
Adherence to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and be a strong team player.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
Qualifications

2+ years of experience in electrical assembly or a related electrical products assembly field.
5+ years’ experience with commercial or industry wiring.
2+ years of experience using standard hand and power tools, including pneumatic and battery-operated tools, wiring tools, and accurately reading a tape measure.
Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
Proficiency in reading and working with schematic drawings, layouts, and wire lists with minimal supervision.
Experience working with SAP and Salesforce.
Ability to train others and exhibit leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Possess some knowledge on electrical clearances.
High School Diploma or Associate’s degree or technical training in area of responsibility.
Proven record in Quality and Productivity.
