Job Summary
We are looking for an individual to join our seasonal grain team in
Amherst, CO
to assist in running daily scale operations during the wheat & corn harvest. No previous experience is required. The role offers competitive pay, flexible scheduling, overtime opportunities, and the potential to join the team full time at the end of the season.
Responsibilities
Weigh and grade grain in all inbound and outbound trucks using computer and manual tools for measurement.
Provide a high level of customer service by addressing customers promptly, efficiently and courteously.
Answer the telephone promptly and direct calls as needed.
Maintain a clean work area.
Assist other personnel as needed.
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
0–6+ months of Operations, Business Operations and/or Customer Service experience.
Additional Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
General data entry and computer skills.
Ability to work longer days, weekends, and/or holidays during peak seasons.
Pre‑employment screening may be required and could include drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and an FMSCA Clearinghouse check.
Compensation and Benefits
CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes a base wage, and may include bonuses, incentives and commissions. Pay is subject to various factors such as experience, education and training. Eligible employees may participate in a 401(k) plan.
