Job Overview
Do you bring out the star in your students? Taylor Robinson Music is hiring private music instructors, especially for piano, to provide lessons in the Brownsville, TX area. We do not have a brick‑and‑mortar studio; lessons can be given at students' homes, at the instructor's own home or studio, or via webcam.
Our motto is "Learn to Play From the Heart" and we strive to make music lessons as accessible and affordable as possible. We handle advertising, marketing, SEO and billing to help you focus on teaching.
Responsibilities
Teach piano lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, using your own curriculum and lesson plans.
Schedule lessons independently and be available to host students at home, in a local studio, or travel to students within the Brownsville, TX area.
Maintain clear communication with our office and arrive on time for all lessons.
Adhere to COVID‑19 precautions, including wearing a mask, sanitizing hands, and practicing social distancing when applicable.
Support student retention by ensuring engaging and effective lessons.
Qualifications
Experience or formal education in music—degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or prior teaching experience.
Good communication skills and a professional, organized approach to lesson scheduling.
Ability to work independently as an independent contractor.
Benefits
Job Pay:
$20 – $30 per hour, dependent on travel time, experience/education, and student retention rate.
You have the freedom to set your own schedule and curriculum, while we handle marketing, advertising, and billing.
