Pay Range : $120,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
Job Overview
The nurse practitioner functions as an independent care provider in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. The care is characterized by comprehensive health assessments and management of patients with acute and/or chronic health problems in the Heart and Vascular services (cardiology, cardiac cath lab and non‑invasive cardiology). Hospital APP coverage for Heart and Vascular patients.
Qualifications
Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of New Jersey
Certified Nurse Practitioner in the state of New Jersey
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
ACLS/BLS certified
Must have cardiac and/or critical care experience
Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Scheduling Requirements
40 hours per week
3x12 hour shifts
No weekends, no holidays
Essential Functions
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic test results
Develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients undergoing cardiac procedures and/or admitted for further evaluation/treatment
Monitor patients, hemodynamic status, ordering, and adjusting medications and interventions as needed
Provide pre‑ and post‑procedure heart failure education and support to patients and their families
Facilitate discharges for heart and vascular service line patients
Provide education to staff and community regarding cardiac conditions and procedures
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, other NPs, nurses, and social workers
