Oncology - Radiation Physician

Facility in Galesburg, IL seeking RadOnc locums coverage Rates: $375/hr Opportunity Highlights

• Dates of Coverage: June 1, 2026 October 2, 2026.
• Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM.
• Work-Life Balance: No Call, No Weekends, and No Holidays.
• Patient Volume: patients under treatment per day.
• Support: Managed environment utilizing Epic for EMR/Charting.

Clinical Responsibilities The physician will work solo and be responsible for the full spectrum of radiation therapy management, including:

• Patient Care: Evaluations, weekly on-treatment visits (OTVs), and post-treatment follow-ups.
• Planning: Simulation, dosimetry treatment planning, and therapy prescriptions.
• Verification: Checking daily images for alignment verification and treatment accuracy.
• Procedures: On-site supervision for compliance and checking Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS).
• Case Types: Primarily external beam treatments, consults, and follow-ups.

Provider Requirements

• Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology.
• Licensure: Active Illinois State License and IL CSR are required (Must have at time of application).
• Certifications: Active BLS.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year post-residency experience.
• Note: IMLC candidates will not be considered at this time.
