Power Services Field Service Representatives

They collaborate with customers, sales representatives, team members and third-party partners to install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment in a variety of dynamic environments. This position offers a home‑based flexible work schedule with a 40‑hour guarantee (+ overtime). Input and travel for training and job site support may be required.

Typical Responsibilities

Servicing, installing, and repairing customer equipment.

Perform warranty work and start‑up service.

Perform startup/commissioning on equipment across the Schneider Electric product portfolio.

Test, calibrate, check, correct, adjust, and replace parts on customer products.

Construct and test circuits and equipment using tools, computers, workstations, circuit diagrams, and test instruments.

Provide technical support in product service, product training, and applications, including on‑site audits.

Support serviceable Schneider equipment including electrical switchgear, PDUs, RPPs, BMS systems, PLCs, HMIs, drives, power monitoring equipment, protective relays, and other evolving catalog items.

Document all required information for each site in a technical report.

Additional Responsibilities

Analyze complex problems in equipment and machinery, interpret maintenance manuals, and isolate and correct faults using systems and electronics knowledge.

Assist in developing design modifications and implementing modifications, providing installation support.

Develop and implement training courseware and provide training to customers and other service representatives.

Travel for training and to support job site requirements in other areas.

Qualifications

Vocational education, military training, or transferable experience in electronics, electrical theory, or a similar discipline.

NETA/NICET testing certifications.

5–7+ years of relevant mechanical, electrical and/or power distribution service experience and technical proficiency in electronic/electrical component theory.

Experience writing reports and competent presentation skills to managers, clients, and customers.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Experience in testing, maintenance and/or upgrades in low or medium voltage switchgear, transformers, relay protection systems, and control systems.

Ability to interpret blueprints and service documents, including electrical drawings.

Capacity to move service equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
