Responsibilities
Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and daily routines using the Wonder of Learning® curriculum, with a strong focus on infant development, sensory exploration, and responsive caregiving
Individualize care to meet each infant’s developmental needs, schedules, and milestones
Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive infant classroom environment
Lead daily caregiving routines including feeding, diapering, naps, and play
Mentor and support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers
Family Communication
Build strong, trusting relationships with families
Communicate daily regarding feeding, sleep, milestones, and developmental progress
Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and Goddard policies
Maintain accurate classroom documentation and records
Assessment & Documentation
Observe, assess, and document infant development to guide instruction and share progress with families
Professional Growth & Collaboration
Participate in ongoing professional development and training
Collaborate positively with leadership and fellow educators
Positive Guidance
Model and implement positive, responsive caregiving and guidance strategies to support social-emotional development
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
required
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education
preferred
1–2 years of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting preferred
Completion of state-required pre-service training
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with children, families, and team members
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
