Part Time, Days 8:00 am – 2:00 pm

Novant Health Adult Primary Care Clinic

Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Responsibilities
Greet patients and collect blood samples with care and confidence
Support medical lab technicians
Label and handle specimens to ensure top-notch accuracy
Keep workspaces clean and organized
Deliver a positive experience—even when patients are nervous
Follow safety and infection control procedures
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Experience: One year of relevant phlebotomy experience preferred
Licensure/Certification: ASCP, ASPT, AMT or NHA required
Knowledge and skills: Knowledge of medical terminology; ability to communicate with medical staff regarding procedures and results; ability to follow written protocols; ability to work independently; ability to communicate clearly; ability to stay calm in emergencies; ability to develop and maintain department quality assurance; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, hospital staff and the public
